As you can see from this list Tuscon Arizona's KFMA leans toward the hard/heavy end of the alternative spectrum. That's not necessarily a criticism. I love Arcade Fire and Vampire Weekend but there's no shortage of good and interesting bands on active rock playlists -- it's just that the drek on those charts is a lot drekkier. 30 Seconds to Mars deserves the top of the charts... just because people here in tucson don't really listen to them or because they're not played on the radio doesn't mean that they're not an awesome band.
ReplyDeleteI'll grant you that 30 Seconds to Mars would be a better choice than Bullet For My Valentine. They appear on the KFMA chart twice however, once at number 10 so I'm not sure I agree with your contention that they are not played on the radio in Tuscon.
